Comprehensive
Even though it contains more than 150,000 entries and about 12,000 kanji, opening the dictionary takes only about 4 seconds.

Precise
You can search by the Japanese word itself, by Hiragana or Katakana, by Romaji or by using the Handwriting Keyboard. Search results are displayed without delay.

Searching
Search results are sorted by a ranking system as you might know it from your favorite search engine. That way the most propable match appears at the top of the results.

Animated Strokes
Animated stroke order diagrams are available for about 2,800 japanese characters, including hiragana, katakana and all 1,945 jōyō (daily-use) kanji taught in Japanese schools.

Classification
Words are classified into lists like Medicine, Countries or Sports so you can get a quick overview over a certain topic.

Conjugation
Automatically displays conjugated forms of verbs and adjectives, the first ten conjugations for each counter or the most popular compounds for kanji.

Can't read?
Words can be displayed in different romanization systems, including (Revised) Hepburn, Kunrei-shiki, Nihon-shiki and Word Processor.

More?
The dictionary is constantly being updated and you can expect new features (as a free upgrade) in the future.
